Insulating glass with alarm function

Protection against burglary plays an important role in many buildings. With GEWE-therm^® safe alarm, SCHOLLGLAS offers a transparent solution in the glass component consisting of several components:

The basis is the toughened safety glass GEWE-dur^® safe-alarm, on the surface of which an electrically conductive alarm loop is also applied invisibly in the edge area. This is connected to an alarm alarm system. If desired, the functional alarm loop can be supplemented by a non-functional dummy in the field of view of the insulating glass. In insulating glass, GEWE-dur^® safe-alarm can be combined with float or, better still, burglar-resistant GEWE-safe ^® LSG to form GEWE-therm^® safe-alarm or GEWE-therm^® TPS safe-alarm insulating glass. It is also possible to integrate almost all functional layers to expand product properties and performance. For the embedding of the alarm loop and the connection cables in the edge bond, only a slightly increased sealant cover is required. The typical edge seal on these products, including the spacer, is 16 mm wide.

When destroyed, the ESG pane breaks into a network of small fragments over the entire surface. In this case, the alarm loop, through which a quiescent current flows, is interrupted several times and triggers the alarm via the connected alarm system.

GEWE-therm^® safe-alarm has been tested by the Association of Property Insurers (VdS) and has the VdS recognition number G107018.
