Base glass
VSG safety mirrors
Safety mirrors combine the highest safety standards with elegant function: they offer a reliable solution, especially in areas where increased injury protection is required in the event of breakage – be it in sports facilities, work rooms or damp rooms.
The basis is a construction consisting of two float glass panes, one of which is covered with a silver-containing mirror layer, and an extremely resistant, viscoelastic PVB film. This special intermediate layer provides a splinter-binding effect and significantly minimizes the risk of injury in the event of glass breakage. Splinters and shards adhere to the film and the composite has a residual load-bearing capacity.
Thanks to their robust construction, these mirrors meet all relevant safety standards, including the EN 12600:2002 standard (classification 2(B)2) and the requirements of the Workplace Directives
