Base glass
Stained glass
Fully coloured glass is very popular for many applications, as it can offer functional advantages in addition to attractive design aspects in the interior sector. For example, by reducing solar radiation, it helps to lower the room temperature and offers more privacy without completely sealing off the room behind it. Important to know for processing: The lens thickness plays a major role in determining the colour intensity of the colouring.
To produce the colours, certain metal oxides are added to the glass mass during melting, each of which produces different colourations. Otherwise, the production process is identical to that of clear float glass. This means that these products also have the flawless surfaces typical of float glass.
