Base glass
Satin float or white glass
Satin-finished float or alternatively white glass, is given a matte, silky-looking surface by etching. This processing ensures that the glass remains translucent, but at the same time opaque. As a result, objects behind them are only perceived dimly and with soft contours.
Due to these properties, frosted glass is ideal for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications, especially as window and door inserts, for room dividers, shower enclosures or for glass partitions. The material is often processed into toughened safety glass (ESG) or laminated safety glass (LSG) to ensure increased stability and safety.
