Base glass
Textured design glass
Textured design glass, also known as ornamental or cast glass, is characterized by a translucent, embossed surface that allows light to pass through, but also provides privacy and brings exciting designs to life. The characteristic structures are created by a manufacturing process in which the liquid glass is formed between two embossing rollers at around 1,200 °C, creating different patterns, such as waves, ribs or prisms. These give the glass a unique look and influence the scattering of light. Due to its versatile design options, textured glass is often used in areas where light is needed but a clear view is not desired – such as bathrooms, doors (also as a light cutout), balcony balustrades or modern office partitions.
SCHOLLGLAS offers a very large selection of structured design glass from a wide variety of top manufacturers from all over the world.
