Thank you for your interest in our company and for visiting our website. We take data protection very seriously and would like to inform you below about the type, scope and purpose of the personal data we process.
The use of our website is generally possible without any indication of personal data. If you provide us with personal data on a voluntary basis, e.g. via our contact form or by e-mail, the processing will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed via our website. Please note, however, that data transmissions via the Internet can always have security gaps over which we have no influence and therefore absolute protection cannot be guaranteed, especially in e-mail traffic.
Personal data
According to Art. 4 No. 1 GDPR, personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Personal data is therefore all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail address or telephone number.
Collection and storage of personal data as well as the type and purpose of their use
1. When visiting the website

The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until it is automatically deleted:
- IP address of the requesting computer,
- Date and time of access,
- Name and URL of the retrieved file,
- Website from which access is made (referrer URL),

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes:
- Ensuring a smooth connection to the website,
- To ensure a comfortable use of our website,
- Evaluation of system security and stability as well as
- for other administrative purposes.
The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes of data collection listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the collected data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.
In addition, we use cookies when you visit our website. You can find more detailed explanations about this further down in this privacy policy.
2. When using our contact form
If you have any questions, we offer you the opportunity to contact us via a form provided on the website. This is based on Gravity Forms (Rocketgenius, Inc.). A valid e-mail address is required so that we know who the request comes from and to be able to answer it. Further information can be provided voluntarily. Data processing for the purpose of contacting us is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a GDPR on the basis of your voluntarily given consent. Your details will be stored and used by us exclusively for the purpose of processing the contact. The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form will be blocked or deleted after the enquiry you have made has been completed.
What data is collected?
As part of the forms, we collect the following personal data:
- First and last name
- E-mail address
Purpose of processing:
The data provided will be used exclusively to process your request. After submitting the form, the message is automatically forwarded to Schollglas by e-mail.
Storage and deletion:
In addition, the content of your message is temporarily stored in our database to ensure secure delivery and possible tracking.
The entries are automatically deleted after 5 days.
Server Location:
Our website and the stored form data are hosted on servers in Strasbourg, Germany . The server location is therefore located within the EU and is fully subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
No disclosure to third parties:
Your data will not be passed on to third parties. There is no advertising use.
Legal basis:
The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures) or (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure processing of enquiries).
3. Applications, application procedure
We collect and process personal data of applicants for the purpose of handling the application process. Processing may also be carried out by electronic means. This is particularly the case if an applicant submits corresponding application documents to us electronically, for example by e-mail, or via the career portal of jobcluster Deutschland GmbH used by us. (You can see and accept the privacy policy of the jobcluster career portal separately in the course of the application process via the implemented tool). If we conclude an employment contract with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If no employment contract is concluded with the applicant, the application documents will be deleted at the earliest six months after the announcement of the rejection decision, provided that there are no other legitimate interests on our part. Other legitimate interest in this sense is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
Disclosure of data
Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only share your personal information with third parties if:
- you have given your express consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (a) GDPR,

In order to process your enquiries and contractual matters, it may be necessary in particular to transmit your enquiry with the personal data to affiliated companies within our group of companies. This is the case, for example, if your concern concerns another company in our group of companies than the one to which you have submitted your request. The data is passed on on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR and only if there is a business need for it.

Cookies
We use cookies on our site. These are small files that are automatically created by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device and do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. The cookie stores information that arises in connection with the specific end device used. However, this does not mean that we will immediately become aware of your identity. The use of cookies serves to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you.
For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognise that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after leaving our site.
In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimise user-friendliness, which are stored on your device for a certain fixed period of time (up to two years). If you visit our site again to use our services, it will automatically recognize that you have already been with us and, for example, which entries and settings you have made so that you do not have to enter them again.

The data processed by cookies is necessary for the purposes mentioned to protect our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties in accordance with Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (f) GDPR. Most browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can configure your browser so that no cookies are stored on your computer or that a notice always appears before a new cookie is created. However, disabling cookies completely may mean that you will not be able to use all the features of our website.

Automatic deletion and blocking of personal data
We process and store personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage (e.g. proper business transactions) or which corresponds to a statutory storage/retention period. If the purpose of storage no longer applies or if a statutory storage/retention period expires, the personal data will be deleted by us. If statutory storage/retention obligations continue to apply, e.g. after proper business transactions or final answers to your inquiries, we restrict processing, e.g. by blocking your data. If retention periods under commercial and tax law must be observed, the duration of the storage of certain data can be up to ten years.
Data integrity
We use the common SSL procedure (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser during the visit to the website. As a rule, this is a 256-bit encryption. You can tell whether a single page of our website is transmitted encrypted by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the status bar of your browser. We also use appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

Our presence on the social network Facebook (a service of Facebook, Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304 , USA) is intended to serve a better and more active communication with our customers and interested parties (Facebook fan page). We provide information about our products, ongoing promotions and other events that may be of interest to our customers and interested parties. When you visit our online presence on Facebook, your data may be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes and so-called user profiles of Facebook may be created using pseudonyms, e.g. to place and display interest-based advertisements on Facebook or via other websites. However, we as the operator of our fan page only have access to anonymised data. For this purpose, cookies are usually stored by Facebook on your device, which can be used to record visitor behaviour and the interests of users. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (safeguarding our legitimate interests, which prevail in the context of a balancing of interests, in an optimized presentation of our offer and effective communication with the customer and interested parties). The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between joint controllers (we and Facebook) in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR, which you can view here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum.

For more information on the processing and use of data by Facebook and your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s data policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/. For more information about your options for objecting to individual advertising measures on Facebook, please refer to the following page: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.

Our presence on the social network Youtube (a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) is intended to serve a better and more active communication with our customers and interested parties (Youtube channel). We provide video information about our products, ongoing promotions and other events that could be of interest to our customers and interested parties. When you visit our online presence on Youtube, your data may be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes and so-called usage profiles of YouTube may be created using pseudonyms, e.g. to place and display interest-based advertisements or videos on YouTube or via other websites. We would like to point out that the Youtube button on our website is configured in such a way that a direct connection between your browser and the YouTube server is only established when you click on this button and not automatically as soon as you call up our website.
