Since 2024, SCHOLLGLAS has been increasingly producing contract glass for new buildings and renovations in the German capital at its newly established plant in Dahlwitz-Hoppegarten near Berlin. The opportunity to do so was provided by the takeover of the Berlin business operations of HoffmannGlas GmbH, which now complements the already existing basic glass business. The challenging small-scale nature of the retrofit business is special for this local market, which is taken into account with efficient production, a large delivery fleet and a self-collection option ex works. Glaziers, carpenters, metal and façade factories as well as window factories and specialists in shop and showcase construction in the Berlin-Brandenburg region find a high-performance supplier for their trades in the company with around 60 employees.

Since the beginning of 2024, SCHOLLGLAS has been more present than ever in the German capital: With the production of insulating glass and our glass wholesale at the site in Hoppegarten near Berlin, we are a strong supplier for our customers’ construction sites and production. Every day, our approximately 60 colleagues use a wide range of technical instruments in production and offices to ensure that glass is not only transparent, but also impressive.
Our exciting business model for flat glass offers a wide range of jobs at all qualification levels along the process chain – in the commercial as well as in the commercial sector. For example, our colleagues work in internal and external sales, in work preparation, of course in production itself on the machines, in shipping or as drivers of our modern delivery fleet, with which we bring our glass to the customer. Last but not least, we employ specialists for quality assurance, IT, maintenance and development of our large machine park.
