For the sake of safety and durability, the panes of showcases are usually designed as 4 mm thick toughened safety glass (ESG) – the information from churches, schools, communities and other public institutions is given a particularly elegant setting in design showcases: with all-glass front in a back-printed ceramic passe-partout.

Special products require a special presentation: they are placed in boulevard showcases that are placed in pedestrian zones, for example, or simply as an extension of the displays of shops in the immediate vicinity; but also in indoor use as column, cabinet or wall display cabinets, watches, jewellery or objects with an ideal or museum character are brought into focus. The exhibits in the miniature exhibition areas come into their own in a particularly exclusive way when they are presented on transparent glass shelves that discreetly fade into the background and support the illumination.

In order to take into account the theft protection that may be necessary, security glass with burglar resistance can also be used in the visible surfaces in addition to normal ESG or laminated safety glass. Particularly interesting in terms of application for museums: With a special anti-reflection coating such as GEWE-pure® vision, the glasses become almost invisible!
