The artificial habitat, which is intended to offer as unobstructed a view of the surroundings as possible, requires special attention with regard to the sensitively controlled temperatures and the sunlight entering through the glazing.
Due to the very special circumstances – some overhead glazing in public spaces, combined with good thermal insulation and a high degree of (UV) light transmission – individually specified insulating glazing is always used in the huge hall constructions. For example, made of tempered white glass (laminated safety glass made of ESG-H or TVG) with Low-E coating, combined with a GEWE composite® laminated safety glass.

- Edge grinding (standard: hemmed edges) and crushed corners
- Printing of bird protection patterns or designs using screen or digital printing with ceramic inks
- Processing to ESG and/or laminated safety glass or GEWE composite® made of float glass
- Further processing into insulating glass
