With the comprehensive product variety of GEWE-therm® insulating glass, we meet almost every conceivable challenge of the next generation of buildings:

• GEWE-therm® thermal insulation glass: very effective thermal insulation with high light transmission and effective use of solar energy input.
• GEWE-therm® sun solar control insulating glass: for reducing solar energy input while at the same time providing highly effective thermal insulation.
• GEWE-therm® phon soundproofing insulating glass: very good airborne sound insulation and at the same time highly effective thermal insulation.
• GEWE-therm® safe safety insulating glass: high impact resistance to protect against injury and/or to achieve high attack resistance as permanent burglary protection.
• GEWE-therm® safe alarmInsulating glass: During destruction, the toughened safety glass integrated in the structure, on the surface of which an electronically conductive alarm loop is applied, shatters and triggers the alarm via the connected alarm system. In addition to the alarming ESG pane, the thermal insulation glass can be made of float glass, ESG, ESG-H, TVG or laminated safety glass according to the respective requirements. Triple superstructures are also possible.
• GEWE-therm® multi functional insulating glass: a wide range of possible combinations of various additional functions such as heat, sun, sound and burglary protection.
• GEWE-therm® 4SGI insulated glass: Insulating glass with thermoplastic spacer specially developed for SG facades. Due to the physico-chemical adhesion, the edge seal ensures a reliable connection between the glass and the tested silicone secondary sealant.

It’s all in the combination: safety glass and finishing options

In addition to insulating glass production, SCHOLLGLAS covers the growing demand for safety glass products – with toughened safety glass (GEWE-dur®/ GEWE-dur® -H) or laminated safety glass (GEWE-safe®) also in combination with heat-strengthened glass (GEWE-tvg®) including extensive finishing techniques such as sandblasting, etching, laser technology as well as screen and digital printing.

With digital printing GEWE-di print, which is more flexible than screen printing, patterns, decors and photorealistic motifs can be realised on glass. With this technology, real colour gradients or gridless changes from translucent to transparent surfaces can be realised. In addition to the basic colors, the gold kit also allows you to print real gold with a reflective surface and designs with very fine lines. So-called “broken designs” – decors with deliberate defects – can also be realised. Depending on the template, clean and sharp-edged contours can be printed. The areas of application are diverse and range from facades and balustrades, doors and partition walls to decorative wall coverings, for example for shower or kitchen splashbacks.

The mobile wave-permeable glass GEWE-com connect allows mobile phone signals to pass directly through the pane with only marginal changes in the thermal insulation properties. In most cases, this means that additional technical effort and the use of repeaters and their maintenance can be dispensed with. The resulting improved network quality also leads to lower radiation exposure and longer battery life of the mobile devices. GEWE-com connect is conceivable wherever insulating glass is used and mobile data exchange is desired, such as administrative and office buildings, public buildings, railway stations, airports, exhibition halls, residential buildings or parts of commercial and industrial buildings, hospitals, restaurants, hotels and many more.

In addition, our GEWE-comconnect is also successfully used in the public transport sector.

Energy-efficient into the future

For thermal insulation glazing, SCHOLLGLAS offers many different edge composite systems with optimised material properties. The warm edge spacers (also known as “warm edge systems”) are a plus for the overall energy balance of a building. For example, heating costs can be saved by switching from aluminium spacers to higher-quality glazing with warm edges. Another advantage: When exposed to sunlight, there is no disturbing reflection in the space between the panes.

There is also less condensation on the edge of the pane, which makes the warm edge more hygienic and extends the life of the window. In the case of non-metallic materials with their matt surface, the entire look of the window is enhanced.
