As individual as the boundary conditions, as tailor-made and complex is the implementation as a garden room, cold or warm conservatory: from single glazing made of clear float glass, GEWE-dur® ESG or GEWE-safe® LSG to high-end insulating glass units with sun protection coating and thermal insulation properties (GEWE-therm®) for year-round use, the spectrum is sufficient to focus on the glass only.

Other finishing options include solid-coloured lenses, e.g. high-quality grey glass; Protection against overly prying neighbours’ glances from undesirable lines of sight is provided by opaque satin-finished, foil-designed or printed surfaces. In order to minimise the threat of bird strikes on the large-format glasses, structures printed on or incorporated into the glass help, which are largely inconspicuous in daily use of the room, but are discovered by the feathered friends in good time: so-called bird protection patterns.

While earlier predecessors – gazebos or pergolas – were conceivably simple constructions, today’s buildings meet the highest standards in terms of durability, energy efficiency and living comfort, also due to the available glazing.
