Refrigerator shelves, viewing panels and surfaces
With increasing demands on hygiene, safety and design, refrigerator shelves have also been made of toughened safety glass since the 1980s.
Compared to the wire mesh or simple flat glass that had been widely used before, consumers have since been pleased with the easy maintenance of the closed, robust shelves, optimal illumination of the refrigerated goods and the high-quality, particularly clean visual effect of glass. As a special highlight, tempered ornamental glass with graphically ordered structures, such as the Master Carré design, is also used here.
SCHOLLGLAS has been producing the glass shelves on its own production lines for about 30 years; now supplemented by special glasses for the viewing windows of gastronomy and wine refrigerators, as well as high-gloss, lacquered glass side panels and fronts for premium refrigerators.
