Many building and furnishing elements in our living spaces, which for centuries were made only of wood and iron, have undergone a real revolution with the invention of toughened safety glass (ESG). With its special properties, glass as a material for interior doors offers design options that have not yet been achieved with any other material: completely transparent, opaque or matt to high-gloss door leaves, which require minimal material thickness (8 mm) with maximum stability, whose appearance can be perfectly adapted to the architectural style of living and functional spaces, and which are acoustically and thermally effective.
Particularly attractive for many builders: In addition to the door leaf, each hinged door made of the same material can be supplemented with all-glass skylight elements and side panels, or integrated into a floor-to-ceiling room divider – an all-glass wall.
Another major trend for glass doors in new buildings is all-glass sliding doors, which provide a bright, light-flooded living ambience and optionally connect individual rooms to form entire living worlds – or separate them.
